July 17, 2008: Hoped to take the site down, but I still get an email every month. Scottco / FLTreasures has a 97.4% positive rating. Who knows how many negative feedback he has had removed from eBay??

Nov. 25, 2007: I continue to get complaints directly to me about once a month. I haven't really kept the site up with current complaints, but they have not gone away. Be careful.

I have had numerous people email directly about problems with FLTreasures since posting the negative feedback on 12/26/06. I'm only posting these as they were sent. I cannot verify that these statements are true. You can email others that have left negative feedback for Scott for further clarification. Complaints include misrepresented merchandise, damaged items, refusal to reimburse auction price after delivering damaged good, hostile attitude, paypal disputes, angry threats, name-calling and more.

Names will only be posted with your permission.

Hi,

It has been some time since I foolishly bought from him, I had seen that he had over 400 negatives that year, so I got what that kind of feedback deserves, a piece of broken junk.  Where was my head and where is the head of so many others that still risk his junk and wrath!

It was a Ott Lamp and it was broken in half!  It cost me nearly 100.00 dollars in duty and brokerage to get it here to Canada ( lw5577).  He would not answer calls or emails so I went forward with a Ebay claim.  It cost me another 50.00 or so to return in to get my 85.00 back.  It was a huge loss but I wanted to be certain that he did not gain by keeping my 85.00, so I took the hit to return it.

Also because I felt obligated to give a negative after that refund from winning the dispute, I did so knowing he would do a feedback on me that was neither true nor nice.  But I felt it was worth that hit just to give him one more negative and possibly save another fool like myself from buying from him.

I have learned my lesson, only 100% feedback gets my money now and of course Ebay will not remove his nasty negative on my feedback so there it sits, the only one I have as I am fast to pay and have morals.

You may print my story, I do not mind at all and I do not mind my name being there either.

Could we start a campaign to make Ebay remove his nasty retaliations, I understand that these are not being permitted anymore, but they should go back on this kind of abusive negatives and do something about those that are already there, I think.

Regards,

Judy

I googled fltreasures and came across your website; I too got screwed by Scott. I bought a Yamaha generator from him. He advertised it to be a one owner unit with less than 20 camping hours. I got it in and the first time that I used it worked fine, the second time it was used the overload light came on with nothing plugged into it. The third time that I used it worked fine again. Now it doesn't work at all! It's now been over 60 days since I purchased it so I can't file a PayPal claim or one with EBay. I contacted Scott and he said that it had never been registered and it was under warranty. So I contacted Yamaha, they said that the unit had been sold originally to RSC which is an equipment rental company. So there is no telling how many hours are on this unit, and that it isn't under warranty. I was able to contact Scott and he said that he would PayPal me $90.00 to go toward the repairs in which he never did. I later found that the processor is bad and it will cost over $600.00 to get the generator repaired. It's not worth getting it repaired as I can buy a new generator with a warranty for $660.00. So I'm now out of $532.00 of what I paid Scott, plus a service charge of $75.00 to get it looked at. HE IS A CROOK!!! I will never purchase anything from anyone on Ebay with less than a 99% feedback rating. What is bad is the first time that I had used the generator and it worked I then gave him a positive rating. I'm thinking about buying something from him that is cheap just so that I can have the opportunity to leave bad feedback. I can't believe how he talks to his customers such as calling them a "MORON" etc. Let me know how I can help you get this clown. I say we go over to Lakeland Florida and give him a good ole country boy ass whipping.

After a perfect 200 transactions on eBay my wife buys something from Scott @ fltreasures.  No positive resolution was reached and eBay would not act. So I won 43 bids in one night to tie up all his merchandise. Scott refunded my money that night.

EBay permanently suspended me the next day.
I was willing to give up my eBay account after finding all the negative information on this character and still operating with eBay’s blessing?
My description of Scott: “ He can wiggle his way out of dry cement. A professional con who has mastered the art of eBay manipulation.”

Thank you for posting all the information.
Feel free to use my information or contact me in anyway against this individual.
Also have money to help fund any actions that would have a negative impact on eBay or fltreasures.

If you have any ideas please advise.
Maybe an article in his local paper? Appears to be making a living selling other peoples merchandise or ***** (removed by editor)?

I too, had a bad experience with FL treasures.  I purchased an Buccaneer clock for .99 form the guy.  Emailed him several times about picking up item to save on shipping.  Never responded.  I inadvertently paid twice for the item and he would not respond to any of my complaints or emails.  Pay pal said that I filed the claim wrong and would not get a refund.  How is that?  I will never buy from this guy again.  He is not  honest at all.  Something needs to be done with this guy.  I guess he makes so much money for ebay and paypal that they will not put an end to his madness.  Good luck!

hi,

I just read your bit about fltreasures. I to had a horrible experience with that guy. I had bid on an item... did my check out immediately, stating that i would get a check out in the next few days... he filed an unpaid item dispute after 2 days of auction end. So the red flag went up, and i looked through his feedback, then i decided not to send him the check (350.00). I cant take chances with that kind of money... so i emailed him and told him that i wasn't going to send it to him. he emailed me back often, calling me every swear in the book, threatened bodily harm/injuries... lawsuits and even went so far as to threaten my credit report. I laughed at him. I knew there was nothing he could do. I did complain to eBay, they said they could do nothing.... anyhow, good luck! i hope you get him kicked off eBay!

Hi Andy,

Scott screwed me. It really wasn't worth a fight for me. But I would really like to see him disciplined by eBay (it can't be harsh enough or quick enough for me). Just like you, I got my first negative FB in a bunch of years and over 300 more-or-less smooth transactions.

Have you noticed that everything he sells is "super nice." Well, the ancient piece of crap he sent might have been super nice 40 years ago when everybody drove Detroit Iron and Asian imports were a joke.

Nope, I'm not really pursuing action against this schmuck. But I sure will pipe up and tell my story if anybody (eBay, etc.) wants to listen.

eBay is founded upon the integrity of its members. Things almost always go well under this principle. Then there are the Scotts of the world... breathing and stinking up my air.

Hi there!  I wanted to let you know that I am yet another disgruntled ScottCo purchaser!  My husband purchased a $1k keyboard from him, which ended while we were on vacation.  Despite being away from home, we made sure we could be online and we paid for the item within an hour or so, which is pretty darn fast!  (Had I been purchasing this item, I would NEVER have used this seller based on his feedback, but my husband isn’t a frequent Ebayer . . .)

At any rate, in the hour or so that elapsed between our winning the item and paying for the item, I received 5 e-mails AND a phone call TO MY HOME from this seller, demanding that I pay!  I was flabbergasted—who does that?!?!?

Anyway, I just thought I’d let you know about my experience.  I left neutral feedback because it does seem as though the item is functional and it did arrive quickly, but that kind of behavior, in addition to his downright rude and NASTY feedback responses are unacceptable and completely unprofessional!

Hi Andy,
I'm so glad someone is bringing this poor seller into the light.  I also had a bad experience with Scott.
I was the high bidder on a chainsaw he was auctioning.
I would definitely not say I won after the item arrived.
The listing stated that the item was in "unknown condition".
The picture showed what appeared to be a decent saw.
What showed up was a saw swith a broken main case, that would not allow the trigger handle to mount up.  It was very obvious to me, as soon as I picked the saw up out the box, and retrived only the handle.  Anyone handling this saw would know that the case was broken junk.
You can not pick up this saw without discovering this flaw.
This is a major piece of the saw, costing more than the saw is worth.  To say that the "condition is unknown"
is a blantent lie.  This occured before the change in Ebay's feedback rules protecting buyers, and I was too afraid of his negative feedback to report the situation.
I hope that Ebay will stop this fraudulent seller soon, before other members become his victims.
Thanks for the outlet,

Well in a nut shell the guy intentionaly and knowlingly sold 8K worth of my stolen equiptment all with invoices in the box.

After this he'll be luck to get a ebay or paypal account ever again so no worries there might even get charged if he can't come up with a name of whom he claims he bought it from.

(I have no knowledge of whether or not the equipment was stolen, only posting claims by others. Andy)

I was screwed by scott and am currently trying to get something back. It was for a bone stimulator of 300dollars and I did put in a paypal claim however he told me to cancel it and he will send another new one right away. Well I cancelled it (new on Ebay) and well he never shipped another one.* I have tried contacting him a number of times and he hung up on me twice, won't answer my emails or phone messages. So he stole my money and I am left with something that is a piece of crap!

Would love to help in any way I can to get this guy what he deserves.

*[This is exactly what Scott "told" me to do. After reviewing the Paypal Dispute rules, I realized the case could not be reopened after you close it. Most of us don't have experience with these disputes. Scott appears to be an old hand. Andy]

Dear Andy,

yeah dude it's true. This Scottco is a liar and a thief and tries (horribly) to make it look like it's the other guy's fault. I had a dealing with him that permanently scarred my ebay record. First off I was brand new to Ebay and he was my first seller. He shipped the item to the wrong address (a nonexistent address). So the post office ships the item back to the sender (Scottco). So I email him about eight times:

fldeals@tampabay.rr.com. No response. Then I get his number through paypal and call him. He answers, I briefly explain the situation to him, he tells me he's in the middle of unloading some shipment and that he will call me back. Never calls me back. I called him back several times, he never picked up. After three weeks I decide,"wow, this guy's trying to stiff me". I leave Neg feedback for fltreasures and he does the same to me (even though as a buyer I paid through paypal right after I won the item). I file a claim with paypal and after three more weeks win and get my money back. Then fltreasures files an unpaid item report. I fought it and still don't know what the resolve is as he never responded back to my initial response message to him and ebay about what happened (I didn't get an answer from anyone). I never got the item and ended up getting it from somebody else.

So here I am stuck as a new ebayer with a low score (-1) because some jerk is a crook and ebay stands for it! Do you think I want to ebay anymore?

Hi,

I just came across your site after having some trouble with FL Treasures.  They sent me some non working intercoms and I have been unable to reach them for a return.  I guess my next step will be to file a claim with e-bay and paypal.

Ebay Report: 10-23-06.
You can see by the responses there are many unhappy buyers. Others have reported, and I have experienced, the hostile, threatening nature of Scottco. The buyers below have only one negative feedback - from fltreasures. Note the neutrals - rare on eBay. Neutrals are usually posted to prevent the other buy from posting a negative feedback. I felt obligated to let the public know about this individual's character.
